The buzz surrounding the recent awards show reached a fever pitch, especially after presenter Geoff Keighley posted a puzzling image of a desert monolith. The question has now been solved. Larian Studios is developing a fresh Divinity game.
Titled simply Divinity, the game was debuted with a daring trailer featuring memorable imagery, from a burning man to scenes of revelry and the literal descent into chaos.
A Different Direction
For those expecting Divinity Original Sin 3, that is not happening. The studio stated ahead of time that a follow-up to its venerated RPGs is not on the cards right now.
That said, the developer described this new Divinity as a continuation of the core franchise. This phrasing hints that the team could be building a real-time experience rather than another turn-based title. Currently, we can only guess, as only a teaser video is available.

The Divinity series is universally respected and many say it pioneered the recent resurgence of crunchy computer role-playing games.
